A minor earthquake rocked the St. Louis, Missouri area overnight. Some Missouri residents said they felt their home shaking for 5 to 30 seconds.
There are no reports of damage or injuries. The epicenter of the quake, which had a 4.2 magnitude, was roughly thirty minutes southwest of St. Louis.

Ham Operators stationed at the Springfield National Weather Service are providing communication between hospitals and assessment teams following the Sunday tornado that hit Joplin, said Ron Kittleman, spokesman for Southwest Missouri ARRL, a ham radio group.
Ham operators started relaying hospital information between the Freeman hospital and the St John’s and CoxHealth medical facilities in Springfield shorty after the storm hit last night.
The storm has knocked out cell phone and landline communications, Kittleman said.
